Quest Q-Jets are the world’s most advanced 18mm model rocket motors. Q-Jet™ high performance, composite propellant model rocket motors use the same family of solid propellant as NASA’s Space Shuttle Boosters, military missiles, sounding rockets, and NASA’s future SLS moon rocket. They utilize a patent pending high-strength polymer case and bulkhead, ceramic or phenolic nozzle and one of RCS’s exclusive Black Max™, White Lightning™ or Blue Thunder™ aerospace grade composite propellant formulations, which produce up to 2-1/2 times the specific impulse (or ISP, a propellant efficiency rating) of conventional black powder propellant. They are not susceptible to thermal cycling like black powder motors. Q-Jet™ rocket motors deliver faster lift-offs, visible exhaust plume, dense tracking smoke & increased reliability at lift-off.
